Honestly, right now, I'm so tired that I can barely muster the energy to write anything, but I know it's necessary.

That's why I'm taking the time to share these tips for those days when you're too exhausted to write or do anything, but still need to be creative and productive.

Sometimes, you'll be so drained that it feels like there's no steam left to write or even think. Here are some ways to get started, even when motivation is low:

Start Small

I know the urge may be to pour out all your ideas, but just begin with one thought or a simple sentence. It doesn’t need to be much, just enough to get the ball rolling.

Write How You Feel

Jotting down how you’re feeling can actually help. For example, right now, I’m writing about my tiredness this morning. Expressing what’s on your mind can open up your creativity and lead to more writing.

Switch It Up

If you’re typing away on your laptop, try switching to pen and paper, or vice versa. Changing your writing tool can refresh your creativity. Sometimes, picking up a pen makes ideas flow more easily, or using your laptop might feel less taxing.

You don't have to pressure yourself to achieve greatness. Just start small, write about your current state, and mix up your methods. Even when the tank is running on empty, you can still get words on the page.
